Peterborough death notices: Funeral notices for this week include ‘much loved’ grandmother and ‘devoted’ wife

Every day, Peterborough residents say their final farewells to family members, friends, colleagues, neighbours and many other characters who have played a unique part in local life.

Some may be more well known than others, but all had a place in someone’s heart and in our communities.

Marion Barbara Baxter

It is with great sadness we announce that Marion passed away peacefully on 12th October 2026 at Cherry Blossom Care Home, following a short stay.

Beloved wife of the late John (Gerry) and loving mum to her girls.

Also a much loved sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be very much missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday 12th November, 11.00am at Peterborough Crematorium. No flowers please, but donations in lieu may be given to Peterborough Cat Rescue at the service.

Passed away peacefully at Priory Court Care Home on 29th September 2026, aged 88 years.

Dearest mum of Julie and David. Loving sister of Patricia and Jayne. Mother-in-law of Andrew. Devoted nanny of James and Oscar.

Passed away peacefully at home on 9th October 2026.

Formerly of Oundle. Passed away peacefully at Kentford Manor, Newmarket on Thursday 15th October 2026, aged 96 years.
