A1 lane closure in Peterborough due to flooding - North Bank also closed

One lane was closed northbound just before the A47 junction.

The BCH Road Policing Unit said a vehicle became stuck in the water as a result of the flooding.

Highways England said its contractors were at the scene to assist and that motorists should “approach with caution”.

However, it has now confirmed that the road has re-opened.

Meanwhile, the Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the River Nene at North Bank between Peterborough and Whittlesey, meaning the road has been closed once again.
