“The fire started on an upper floor of the Principal’s house and took hold very quickly. We are extremely grateful to the emergency services for their swift actions this afternoon, which helped to contain the fire and prevented it from doing even more damage.

“It will take some time to establish the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, but we will be in touch with our community with further information once more details are known.

“Provision for Year 10 and 12 pupils who are returning to School on Monday is unaffected.

“Our sincere thanks to everyone in our community who offered their help and support during the fire.”
