Local Elections 2026: Postal voters must register TODAY to cast ballot by mail on May 7

City residents who want to cast a ballot in the May 7 election by post but who are not yet registered to vote are being urged to take immediate action.

The deadline to register as a postal voter is 5pm TODAY (Tuesday April 21).

With this in mind, Peterborough City Council is urging people who remain unregistered to ensure they update their details swiftly.

Rachel Edwards, Peterborough City Council’s head of constitutional services, said “time is running out” for postal voters to make sure they will be able to have their say on May 7.
