Plans for newly expanded cheerleading and gymnastics academy in Bretton, Peterborough
Plans have been submitted for a new cheerleading and gymnastics academy in Peterborough.
East Elite Allstars has applied for planning permission to convert a unit at Oaklea House on Enterprise Way in Bretton into a new cheerleading and gymnastics studio.
The group was founded in September 2013 and is currently based on Saville Road.
In its application, the group states that it provides ‘affordable, high-quality training for children and young people in the community as well as a safe, inclusive space where athletes can build confidence, fitness, teamwork, and resilience.’

The new unit would allow the group to expand access and reduce waiting lists.
Plans include 1065 square metres of internal floor area; enough space for a main hall, studio, toilets, staff kitchen, an entrance lobby and two small rooms.
The facility would be open between 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday, although the majority of classes would be held in the evening and weekends. The maximum class size would be 30 people.
The application can be viewed on Peterborough City Council’s planning portal using reference 25/01502/FUL.
