Police appeal for witnesses after crash left Peterborough man in critical condition in hospital
The collision, between a Suzuki motorbike and a blue Mercedes CLK270, happened at about 8.15am on Tuesday August 9 along St Ives Road, Abbots Ripton.
Magpas Doctor Andy Lindsay and Paramedic Dan Read landed beside the B1090 via the Magpas Air Ambulance. The team assessed a man in his 30s who had sustained multiple life threatening injuries.

Hide AdThey then anaesthetised him at the scene and he was then taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a critical condition upon arrival.
He remains in a very serious condition.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was uninjured.
PC Paul Gale from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision.”

The B1090 was closed between the village and Kings Ripton crossroads for most of the day but reopened at around 3pm.
