Peterborough fire crews face challenging blaze 40 metres in the air
Peterborough firefighters had to deal with a blaze 40 metres in the air when a communication mast caught fire on the A47.

Crews were called to the fire near Wansford at 11.06pm last night.
Firefighters arrived to find a well developed fire involving a 40 metre high communication mast. Working with engineers they extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the surrounding area.
The crews returned to their station by 2.15am.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
