Woodston residents set to go to the polls AGAIN for Peterborough council by-election
A council by-election will be taking place on Thursday (July 16) in Woodston – meaning it is the THIRD time residents in the area will have voted in 2026.
The by-election, in the Fletton & Woodston ward, was called following the resignation of former councillor Daisy Blakemore-Creedon.
Ms Blakemore-Creedon had been sitting as an independent councillor when she resigned, having been initially elected for the Labour Party in 2024.
In February, residents in the ward took part in a by-election following the sad death of Labour’s Nick Thulbourn.

And in May, the third seat in the ward was up for grabs, following the death of Labour’s Alan Dowson.
The first seat was won by Reform UK’s Andrew O’Neill, while the second seat was won by The Green Party’s Ed Murphy.
In May, the ward had a turn out of 34.5 per cent. In the February by-election the turn out was 25.2 per cent.
