The Cathedral, of course, has the honour of being the ‘Mayfair’ of the Peterborough set – the most expensive and prestigious space on the board.
However, you will have to avoid the £100 fine for cycling on Bridge Street – one of the ‘Chance’ cards included in the game – if you want to succeed.
Paul Stainton, head of marketing at the Cathedral said it was an honour to be included. He said: “It is fantastic that Peterborough Cathedral is on there. We are integral, we have worked with the producers of this from day one, from the launch at the Cathedral.

"It is great we have got the Mayfair square, we are the most prestigious building in the city, and it helps promote the city, bring in the visitors, and improve the visitor economy for everyone in the city.”

Joining the Cathedral on the dark blues is Posh, who have the ‘Park Lane’ space – the second most expensive spot on the board.
Clive Edwards, Head of Media and Marketing at Peterborough United, says: “We are thrilled to be featuring in the game and on such a prestigious space as Park Lane. To be alongside the Cathedral, which is rightly a worldwide draw to Peterborough, is a great honour.”
“Thank you to everyone who suggested we feature and so prominently too.”
As there are not four main-line Peterborough train stations to fill the quartet of train station spots, that part of the part has been handed over to four of the many ‘Gates’ that protected Peterborough from ancient times to the early 1800s.

"I am forever proud to bring a positive light to this city.”
Nathan’s work has astonished residents in the city for years – and he spoke of the honour of being included in such a prominent way.
He said: “I first got the call quite some time ago and thought it was some kind of wind up to be honest.
"Even after a number of discussions, submitting some ideas and guidance for how I could fit in, I still didn’t quite believe it. I only truly believed it when I recently saw the proofs. I’m super excited, proud to not only be featured on a Monopoly board but the one of my home city that I love, Peterborough.

"We are all so proud of 'Our City of Peterborough' and proud that our volunteer project is to be featured on the Peterborough Monopoly Board!”
Among the community organisations included is the Railworld Wildlife Haven, and Brian Pearce, from the charity said: “We live on an amazing planet that we all call our home and it is so important to look after what we have for future generations.
"A derelict coal yard acquired by Peterborough born and bred Rev Richard Paten and donated to the city is now a habitat rich, biodiverse haven for wildlife with ponds, waterfalls and restored and repurposed Victorian Bridges.
“The once barren land is so much richer because the volunteers won 250 trees in the Peterborough Telegraph's 'Clear up a Grot Spot Competition' back in the year 2000! These trees, Oak, Beech and Mountain Ash etc are thriving in this inner-city 'Green Space' – they are now over 10 metres tall.

“Over the last 14 years Little Miracles has supported thousands of local families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, many of whom would not have the emotional, financial or practical support that they need without us.
“The love that Little Miracles receives from the people of Peterborough is overwhelming.
“We are so grateful to everyone for their ongoing support, we simply couldn’t be the charity we are today without you.
“A very BIG thank you to everyone.”
