Special concert to be held in Peterborough to pay tribute to Clare Ratcliffe
A selection of Peterborough’s finest bands will be coming together last this month to pay tribute to a special figure on the city’s music scene.
Clare Ratcliffe was well-known across the city and was a loyal supporter of the music scene in Peterborough; becoming close personal friends with most of its prominent acts.
Her loss has been sorely felt after her passing in June this year having been bravely fighting breast cancer since 2022.
Clare’s funeral was well-attended and took place at Peterborough Cathedral in July 15.

Now, in her honour, a special concert will be held in her memory on September 27 at The Met Lounge. All of the performers were personal friend of Clare.
Austin Gold, 2012, The Dizzy Miss Lizzys plus more to be announced will all be performing.
Clare’s husband Mark has organised the concert.
He said: “It’s something I need to do for Clare and I want something good to come out of a really horrible situation.
“Clare was a massive music fan, we used to go to every gig going.
"She was such a special person. She had a smile that lit up every room that she walked into.
"My job now is to keep her memory and legacy alive.
The concert will raise money for Cancer Research UK and will take place between 12pm to 7pm.
