School holiday activities on offer for Peterborough children
Peterborough children are invited to take part in a range of activities during the February half term.
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme aims to provide healthy food and enriching activities for all primary and secondary school-aged children who are eligible for benefit-related free school meals. Bookings are now open for families to secure places.
During the February half-term holiday, which runs from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February, eligible children can access up to two, four-hour sessions at no cost to their family. The sessions will include a healthy meal and a variety of exciting activities.
All sessions are funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and encourage children to eat healthily and be active during school holidays.

Councillor Katy Cole, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “The HAF programme has proved incredibly popular so I am delighted that we are offering an additional scheme for the forthcoming February half-term break.
“These sessions provide healthy food and activities that enable children to interact with other children and encourage them to try out new things. If your child is eligible, then please have a look at what is on offer near you. I would also encourage parents of children with SEND to look on the council’s website and call those providers you are interested in to see what they can offer you and your child.”
