Royal Mail confirms that Orton Southgate Delivery Office is now also experiencing problems - four more postcodes hit by delivery delays
A total of eight postcodes in and around the city are experiencing delays
Four more Peterborough postcodes have been hit by Royal Mail delays, this time caused by problems at the Orton Southgate Delivery Office.
Last week the Peterborough Telegraph reported that issues at the Huntingdon Delivery Office were causing delivery delays for residents in postcodes PE26-PE29.
According to its daily round-up of operations regarding today (Tuesday, August 18), further delays have stemmed from issues at the Orton Southgate Delivery Office.

As a result, residents in PE2, PE7, PE8 and PE9 are also being warned to expect delivery delays.
The PE2 postcode covers thousands of addresses south of the River Nene, while PE7 relates to areas such as Whittlesey and Yaxley.
Those with a PE8 postcode live west of the city in North Northamptonshire, with the PE9 postcode covering Stamford and the surrounding areas.
Royal Mail aims to deliver to all addresses six days a week, although local issues may prevent this in some areas, according to its website.

High levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors may result in some addresses not receiving deliveries on all six days.
Royal Mail says it provides targeted support to struggling delivery offices to address their challenges and restore services.
