Police have launched an appeal to reunite an elderly Peterborough man with his Christmas shopping.

On Monday afternoon (15 December), at around 3.15pm, Cambridgeshire Police said officers assisted an elderly gentleman in the city centre.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A while later, we found some shopping bags in our van that we believe had been left behind by the man and could be Christmas presents.

“If you believe this could be yours, or have information on who it could be, then please contact us by calling 101 or online and quoting CC-16122025-0139 https://orlo.uk/Mst4s

“You will be required to say what is in the shopping bags to ensure that it is being returned to the correct person.”
