Photographer in Peterborough celebrates after his business clicks with TV Dragons’ Den star

A popular photographer in Peterborough is celebrating the national exposure of his business after being championed by a TV Dragons’ Den star.

Nate Lansdell, owner of Nate Lansdell Photography, caught the attention of Theo Paphitis who put the business in the national spotlight when he singled it out as part of his Small Business Sunday campaign (#SBS) on his social media sites.

Nate was one of only six weekly winners to gain a personal showcase from Theo to his combined audience of 800,000 followers across X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Theo said: “A huge congrats to this week's #SBS Small Business Sunday winners!

"Welcome to the community!”

Afterwards, Nate said: “As a result of the exposure, my official website www.natelansdell.photography has seen a notable surge in engagement for its specialist commercial photography packages.

"The business is now prominently profiled on the exclusive Small Business Sunday website alongside past winners.”

Nate, who is neurodivergent, said the national recognition came at an exciting time as he has just been nominated for two prestigious national Dyslexia Awards, which are Dyslexic Entrepreneur of the Year and Amazing Artist of the Year.

Nate said: “We recently went through a business rebrand to focus entirely on high end commercial photography.

"To immediately follow that brand evolution up with a national win from Theo Paphitis is absolutely incredible.

"As a proud neurodivergent business owner, being recognized by a giant of British retail while simultaneously being nominated for two national Dyslexia Awards is the ultimate validation of the hard work we put into serving our commercial clients.”

Afterwards, retail expert Theo Paphitis said: “We are thrilled to welcome new SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.

"My vision is that everyone who has ever won an SBS retweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.

"The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Nate Lansdell Photography every success.”

Theo selects six businesses each week and invites them to enter their profile on the official website, attend the annual SBS networking event, and take advantage of further corporate opportunities.
