New hair dressing salon opens on business park in Peterborough
Property experts say a hair dressing salon’s move to a business park in Peterborough reflects the changing nature of trading estates.
Commercial agents Savills oversaw the agreement of a lease with Steadman & Co Hair Ltd to open in unit 26 at the Aston Business Park, in Woodston.
The salon, which employs about 10 members of staff, moved on to the park in October last year.
The business moved from the PE1 retail park in Eye to a bigger unit that had more opportunity and room for expansion.

The completion of the lease agreement was overseen by Peterborough property agents Savills on behalf of Betts Property Holdings Ltd.
Edward Gee, director in the commercial agency team at Savills Peterborough, said the unit had been adapted for use as a hair salon.
He said that the lease to a hair dressing salon reflected the current demand for flexible commercial space that is suitable for service-led operators.
Mr Gee added: “The letting reflects ongoing demand for smaller, adaptable commercial units in accessible urban locations, particularly from independent operators seeking well-positioned premises within established estates.
“The business park continues to attract a wide range of occupiers, reflecting the flexibility and appeal of well-located estate accommodation in Peterborough.
And he added: “The park provides a range of flexible business units suitable for trade, light industrial and commercial uses.”
The changing nature of business parks in Peterborough is illustrated by a separate deal secured by Savills earlier this year.
It secured a 10-year lease on the refurbished industrial and warehouse premises at Coningsby Park to Billie Fins, which is a specialist children's swim school.
