New call for business leaders to vie for honours at Peterborough Business Awards 2026
The headline sponsor of the Peterborough Business Awards 2026 has called for companies to make sure they are in the mix to secure the ‘recognition they deserve.’
The appeal comes from Michael Tomalin, chief executive of City Auction Group & PurpleRock, which operates from Brightfield Business Park, in Orton Southgate, and which is the headline sponsor for this year’s awards competition.
Mr Tomalin said: “The countdown is well and truly on.

The appeal comes after the deadline for nominations for the Peterborough Business Awards 2026 was extended.after the high volume of requests for details about the 13 different award categories persuaded the judges to leave the awards website portal open for final entries.
The 13 categories showcase the endeavour and enterprise shown over key aspects of business life.
We are seeking entries from a cross section of businesses who have shown exceptional growth, innovation or an outstanding contribution to the community in which they operate.
Our awards will also recognise individuals who are at the heart and soul of the companies in our community which play such an important part in our local economy.
The final selection of shortlisted businesses post interview will be invited to attend a black tie gala awards on November 26 at the Holiday Inn West, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough, for an evening of business networking, celebration and reward.

After judges have evaluated each nomination for the Peterborough Business Awards the shortlisted businesses will be invited to an interview with members of the Judging Panel.
