New appeal to share your views on arts and heritage in Peterborough to help shape future events

A renewed appeal has gone out for more Peterborough residents to make their views known on arts, culture and heritage across the city

The call comes from Peterborough Cultural Alliance (PCA) which wants residents to have a say on cultural planning, investment and funding bids.

The deadline for the Be Heard survey is June 7.

Hundreds of Peterborough residents have already shared their views but there is still time for more voices to shape the future of creativity in Peterborough.

Residents aged 16+ are being asked to share their experiences of arts, culture, creativity and heritage, helping inform future cultural planning, investment and funding bids across the city.

A PCA spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from residents across all areas of Peterborough, including people who do not currently take part in creative or cultural activities.

"Responses will help build a picture of what matters to residents, the barriers people experience, and the kinds of opportunities communities would like to see in the city.”

A previous survey two years provided valuable insights into the role creativity and culture plays in people’s lives across Peterborough.

Findings showed strong interest in music, theatre and cinema, with parks and historic sites emerging as popular destinations.

Many residents also shared that cultural activity helps them feel happier and more connected to others.

So make sure your voice is part of the conversation before the survey closes on June 7 and responses can be made at www.be-heard-pbo.com
