More than two years' time in jail for robber who threatened staff at Peterborough watch shop
A man has been jailed after threatening to stab a member of staff at a watch retailer’s in Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire police say that Dane O'Callaghan (38) was first spotted by a customer in The Right Time, Westgate, Peterborough, putting two Henley watches in his pocket who then alerted staff.
A police spokesperson said that when O'Callaghan was challenged by a member of staff about his behaviour he responded by reaching into his pocket and making an action to suggest he had a knife.
Police say he then threatened to stab the woman before fleeing the shop.

The spokesperson said that O'Callaghan, of no known address, was pursued by a man but managed to get away but was identified and arrested by police later the same day.
He initially denied robbery but was jailed for two-and-a-half years after changing his plea on the first day of a trial at Cambridge Crown Court on July 27.
Afterwards, DC Hannah Worthington said: “Although no knife was seen during this robbery, the victim fully believed O'Callaghan was armed and feared for her safety.
“I’m pleased he was identified, quickly arrested and has now been jailed for his actions.”
