Man arrested on suspicion of causing death of delivery driver on Oundle Road by careless driving is re-bailed
A man who was arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a delivery driver on Oundle Road has been re-bailed by police.
It is understood he was a delivery driver at the Moonlight takeaway.
The collision took place at 9.46pm on Sunday (May 3).

A 52-year-old man from Peterborough, the driver of the car, a black MG ZS Excite, was arrested on suspicion of causing death through careless/inconsiderate driving.
He answered police bail on Thursday (July 23), and a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said he has been re-bailed until November 3.
Following the collision, there were a number of calls for safety to improve on the stretch of Oundle Road.
At the time, John Hammond, a Woodston resident, said his thoughts were with the man’s family – but said the road was dangerous.
He said: “I must express my profound concern and frustration that this incident has occurred in a location where I, and other residents, have repeatedly been raising serious safety concerns for the past three years without any meaningful or sustained intervention.”
Mr Hammond said issues he had raised included persistent illegal parking on double yellow lines close to the junction between Jubilee Street and Oundle Road and vehicles stopping on zig-zag markings at the pelican crossing outside Moonlight.
He said: “I think that traffic cushions and traffic calming on Oundle Road is a good idea.
“It may be an A-road but I’m wondering whether 20 miles per hour is plenty in an urban area like that.”
He added: “I hope for the sake of the residents and the community-led involvement that something is done.”
Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the collision, or the moments leading up to it, should report it through the force website or call officers on 101 quoting incident of 516 of 3 May or Operation Pinnock.
