A man has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a ‘traumatic injury’ in Peterborough.

The Magpas Air Ambulance and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to an incident in Stapledon Way, Orton at about 1.15pm today (Monday.)

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.13pm with reports of a person with traumatic injuries in Stapledon Road, Orton.

“We sent an ambulance and Magpas Air Ambulance.

“One person is being taken to hospital by air ambulance for further care.”

A member of ambulance staff at the scene said it was ‘a work place injury.’

A spokeswoman for Magpas said it was an ‘industrial accident.’
