Cali Makewell, Integrated Vaccination Service Lead with NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, said: “There are lots of reasons why children can miss getting their flu vaccination at school, from absence from school to being too unwell on flu vaccination day, or not filling in the consent form in time to just changing your mind about your child having the flu vaccine. But we want local parents and carers to know that whatever the reason they’re welcome to bring their children to any of these clinics for a free flu vaccine.

“Now is the perfect time to get a flu vaccine as it takes approximately two weeks to work, meaning children will be protected in time for the festive season.”
