Flooring specialist creates jobs with Peterborough store opening
A national retailer has thrown open the doors of its new store in Peterborough.
Flooring specialist Tapi Carpets & Floors has just completed a move into the former premises of Carpetright at Boulevard Retail Park.
The store was officially opened on February 7 and has created scores of jobs.
A spokesperson said the store offered an extensive collection including named brands such as Brintons, Brockway, Westex, Karndean, Quickstep, plus a Nike Grind underlay collection.

Jeevan Karir, chief executive of Tapi Carpets and Floors, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our brand-new store in Peterborough, giving local customers the chance to explore our extensive range of carpets, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl, and wood flooring.
"From timeless classics to on-trend designs, we’ve got something to suit every style, taste, and budget.
"Our friendly floorologist team are looking forward to welcoming customers through our doors, helping them find the perfect flooring to transform their homes."
Tapi, which was created 11 years ago, bought Carpetright in 2024 when the company went into administration and took over 54 stores from the retailer across the region.
The new Peterborough outlet brings the number of Tapi stores nationally to 215 plus.
