Paul Lockwood (46) was joined by his wife of eight years, Charlene, when he found out how much he’d won over a video call with People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Jeff Brazier.

Hide AdPaul, who was recently made unemployed, was over the moon when his cheque was revealed.
He said: “Oh wow! Nice!”
Charlene added: “That’s made my day! I thought we’d get a couple of grand. We’re going to have a great Christmas.”
Paul and Charlene plan to use the win to treat their four daughters, aged between 10 to 18, to a holiday in Florida.
Paul said: “We’ve promised the girls for a long, long time we will have a nice holiday. They’ve never been abroad, so they’ll be well excited.”

Hide AdCharlene added: “The kids will scream and say they’re going to Disneyland! They’re big Disney fans. It will be the holiday of a lifetime!”
Paul also plans to finally learn how to drive.
He said: “I’ll treat myself to crash course in driving and finally get myself a car. Our 18-year-old wants to start learning so we can do it together now.”
Charlene added: “I’m the only one in the house who drives just now!”
Charlene’s mum sadly passed away recently, but the couple think the win was thanks to her.

Hide AdCharlene said: “We sadly lost my mum recently, but I like to think this was her. She was the one who wanted to do it. She’s looking down on us. It’s been a bad year and this just made our year!”
Paul won the prize as part of People’s Postcode Lottery’s special Christmas campaign, where one postcode is announced as a £50,000 prize winner every day. All the players in the postcode win £50,000 for every ticket they hold.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Jeff Brazier, said: “A big congratulations again to Paul and Charlene. Hopefully they can book their holiday to Disney sooner rather than later, but in the meantime I think their kids will have a Christmas to remember!”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes across Britain and internationally.
