Celebrating Peterborough’s apprenticeship champions

Apprentices and training providers are being encouraged to enter this year’s Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards.

Now in its seventh year, the awards has established itself as a leading celebration of the talented individuals, forward-thinking employers and dedicated training providers who are helping to shape the future workforce across the region.

The event recognise the achievements of apprentices at every stage of their journey, alongside the organisations investing in skills, development and long-term career opportunities.

With 14 award categories, the event highlights excellence across the apprenticeship landscape – celebrating the commitment, ambition and impact of those making a difference.

From inspiring apprentices who are building successful careers to employers creating opportunities and training providers delivering outstanding support, the awards showcase the vital role apprenticeships play in strengthening the regional economy.

And for successful nominees and winners, the awards provide a valuable opportunity to gain recognition, build confidence and showcase their achievements to peers, industry leaders and future employers. For businesses and training providers, it is a chance to celebrate their contribution to developing talent, champion best practice and demonstrate their commitment to investing in the workforce of tomorrow.

Adam Knight, managing director of Peterborough-based Allison Homes Central, said “We’re passionate about supporting apprentices and celebrating the talent shaping our future industries.

"At Allison Homes, we see firsthand the value apprentices bring and events like this shine a well-deserved spotlight on their achievements.

How do I enter the awards?

Nominations are open to apprentices themselves, as well as employers, colleges and training providers.

Dedicated categories also recognise employers and mentors, allowing businesses to nominate teams and individuals who go above and beyond to support apprentice development.

To be eligible for apprentice award categories, applicants must live, work or train within the region and have been enrolled on their apprenticeship programme for at least 12 months prior to the event date.
