We’re now in the final week of April, which means that by this time next week we’ll be able to say that summer starts next month.
Infamously temperamental in terms of weather, the British summer months are often a mixed bag of scorching sunshine and torrential rain.
But late spring and summer marks the return of many much-loved outdoor events, such as festivals, carnivals and air shows.
Here in Peterborough there is so much to look forward to over the next three-and-a-bit months, so we’ve pulled together seven of the biggest events happening in the city that you should add to your diaries.
Some will be held over the next few weeks, while others are scheduled for mid-summer.
From community festivals to dragon boat races, there really is something for everyone.
