Liquidation is the formal process of closing a company, realising its assets, and distributing the proceeds to creditors and shareholders.

Licensed insolvency practitioners are subsequently appointed to handle the liquidation process and oversee the company’s final stages.

The role of liquidators is to identify all company assets before selling these for the benefit of creditors.
