18 mile walk from Peterborough will raise awareness of domestic abuse support

The co-founders of a Peterborough charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse will carry out an 18 mile walk in fancy dress to encourage people not to turn a blind eye to the issue.

Friday, 7th May 2021, 4:57 am

Linda and Kelly from Living Keys will be joined by colleagues on Saturday, May 29 as they venture from Morrisons in Lincoln Road to the centre of Spalding.

During the walk they will be speaking with people and giving out leaflets of the services that Living Keys provide.

They will also be fundraising to enable the charity to keep providing free courses to those who are in need of support.

The pair said: “It could be your neighbour, your friend, your daughter, your mother, your father – help is out there, very often we just need to take that brave step and reach out for help.”

Linda and Kelly wanted to thank Zoe from Boots in Queensgate for the donation of a raffle prize, as well as Emma from Morrisons who has donated a voucher.

The raffle will be held on social media, and any companies that would like to offer their support can call Linda on 07507269081 during office hours or email [email protected]
