The meetings will be on Wednesday, November 11, at 7.30pm and on Friday, November 13 at 2pm, both in Deeping Community Centre and everyone interested in helping is invited to go to whichever is the most convenient.

Chairman of the Friends of Deeping Library Liz Waterland said: “We’ll be explaining what roles in the organisation we can offer, what the commitment would be and how volunteering for the library would work.

“We will try to answer any questions supporters may have and we’ll ask them to fill in our volunteering form to let us know that they are definitely willing to be one of our team.

“We will be looking for a wide range of skills and interests, such as working in the library with books and customers, supporting our paid library supervisor or giving a little time to help with grounds maintenance, housekeeping, or publicity.

“If people have experience of fundraising, event management, HR and personnel work or applying for grants or sponsorship we will have a role for them, too.”
