Fire crews tackle 'chemical incident' in Stamford

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service said at the time: "We currently have six appliances and several fire officers in attendance at an industrial unit at Wool Depot, Uffington Road, Stamford dealing with a chemical incident."

People were advised to avoid the area.

Fire crews had the incident under control by 6.30pm and were carrying out final checks at the site on a premises to the rear of Mole Country Stores.
