Photos show extent of persistent deliberate fires started in Deeping
Market Deeping Fire Station has published a series of photos showing the impact of a number of deliberate fires started in the area.
The service has been called to as number of fires in Back Lane, Deeping St James, which it states were started deliberately.
A warning has been issued that fires are spreading incredibly quickly at the moment due to the current dry conditions.
The service said: “We have been to extinguish fires deliberately set a number of times now down Back Lane Deeping St James.

"Where some may think ‘it’s only small, it’s not going anywhere’ we have seen first hand over these past few weeks how quickly something small can spread to a larger scale.
"A fire on Wednesday (July 28) was spreading along the tree line.
“During extremely dry conditions, even a small open fire can quickly spread because dry grass, leaves, shrubs, and trees ignite much more easily. Wind can carry sparks and embers over long distances, starting new fires well away from the original flame.
"These fires can grow rapidly, threatening lives, homes, wildlife, and critical infrastructure, while also becoming much harder and more dangerous for firefighters to control.
“Please think and educate.”
