Woman arrested after cannabis factory found in Dogsthorpe house
A woman has been arrested by police officers after a cannabis factory was found in a home in Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire Police said they uncovered the drugs earlier this week while carrying out ‘unrelated enquiries’ in Willow Avenue, Dogsthorpe.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A cannabis grow was not what our officers were expecting to find while they were carrying out unrelated enquiries in Willow Avenue, Dogsthorpe, on Wednesday (January 21) morning!
“140 plants were found inside the house across three rooms, as well as growing equipment and a large amount of cash.

“A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and production of cannabis. She has since been bailed pending further investigation.”
Officers have now released images of the rooms filled with cannabis and other associated paraphernalia following the discovery.

Police also released advice for residents on how to spot signs of a cannabis factory.

They said the signs include:
Lots of different people coming and going from the address at all times of the day and night
Blacked out windows or condensation on the windows, even when it is not cold outside
Electricity meters being tampered with/altered and new cabling

A powerful, distinctive, sweet, sticky aroma and noise from fans
