Watch as ram raiders steal cash machine from building society in Ramsey
Dramatic CCTV images show the moment ram raiders used a stolen telehandler to smash through the front of a building society before making off with a cash machine.
The footage shows how the telehandler was used to drag out the cash machine and a tangle of debris from the Nationwide Building Society before dumping it into the back of a pickup.
The raiders can then be seen to make off in two vehicles abandoning the telehandler in the middle of the High Street in Ramsey.
Police say the raid took place at just after 3am this morning. (June 16).
Now detectives are appealing for information following the a ram raid.
A spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.17am today (June 16) to Nationwide Building Society, in High Street, with reports that a stolen telehandler, along with two other vehicles, was used to remove a cash machine from the front of the premises.”
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, saw suspicious vehicles or activity in the area at the time, or has dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation.
