Two appear in court charged with Peterborough murder as police reveal cause of death

Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering a man in Peterborough.

Tyler Smith and Kristopher White appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court virtually today charged with the murder of 30-year-old Nicky Bonner, of Park Road, Peterborough, who died in Southfields Drive on Tuesday afternoon (5 January).

Smith, 23, of Sandpiper Drive, Peterborough, and White, 35, of Myrtle House Caravan Park, Peterborough and have been remanded to appear at Cambridge Crown Court virtually on Monday (11 January).

The 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday evening (7 January) remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

A post mortem examination carried out at Peterborough City Hospital yesterday concluded Nicky died as a result of a stab wound.
