A teenage girl was assaulted in an underpass in Peterborough.

Police were called at 8.30am yesterday (Monday) to reports of violence in Drake Avenue.

A force spokeswoman said: “It is believed a man wearing a balaclava assaulted a teenage girl in an underpass between Shrewsbury Avenue (Woodston) and Leighton (Orton Malborne), before making off on a bike.

“The girl was not seriously injured.

“No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.”
