Suspected hare coursers have car seized near Peterborough - and are reported for lockdown breaches

Yesterday Peterborough officers attended numerous incidents of Hare Coursing in rural areas of the city..

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said one vehicle did not stop, and was pursued until the driver and stopped near Eye Green.

The spokesman said It was suspected the occupants were involved in poaching offences. They were swiftly dispersed from Cambridgeshire, reported for offences including breaching Covid 19 regulations and their car was seized.

The officers were also joined and assisted by Lincolnshire Police’s Armed Response Unit
