Peterborough teenager appears in Crown Court charged with murder

Leam Smith (19) of Branston Rise, Welland did not enter a plea at the virtual hearing at Norwich Crown Court today.

He is charged with the murder of Dainius Kasiliauskis last Friday morning.

Smith was remanded into custody, and will appear at Cambridge Crown Court on October 5 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

More floral tributes, candles and other items, including a teddy bear, photos and a T-shirt have been placed at the scene where Danius died in Tilton Court, Welland.

A fundraising campaign has now raised more than £20,000 for his family.

A post mortem revealed he died as a result of a stab wound.
