Peterborough shoplifter who stole two cheesecakes and apple juice jailed
A thief who stole groceries including two cheesecakes has been jailed.
Wayne McKie was given a second chance at court earlier this year, when he was handed a suspended sentence after being convicted for shoplifting offences in April.
However, he went on another spree just a few months later.
Cambridgeshire Police said that between 30 June and 3 July, the 48-year-old stole twice from Budgens, in Sugar Way four times from the Co-op, on Oundle Road, and finally from the Co-op in Werrington.

The amount stolen totalled more than £200, and included items such as apple juice, two cheesecakes, and toiletries.
McKie, of no fixed address, admitted six counts of theft from a shop and being in possession of ketamine at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (16 July).
He was jailed for 42 weeks, including the activation of the previous suspended sentence.
PC Rebecca Risebrow said: “McKie was given the opportunity by the courts to stop offending, but completely disregarded it and continued to steal.”
