Peterborough man in court for biting and spitting at Police officers
A man is due in court today (July 9) charged with assaulting two police officers in Peterborough on Wednesday night (July 7).
Officers were on patrol in Broadway throughout due to the England v Denmark semi-final when they spotted 28-year-old Kieran Graham walking in the road and causing disruption to traffic at about 11.40pm.
Graham, of Potters Way in Fengate, was arrested after becoming aggressive towards officers and later further arrested after two officers were assaulted – one being spat at and the other bitten.
He has since been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today.
