Peterborough man due in court for possession of a knife and dangerous driving

A man is due in court today after being stopped by road policing officers in Peterborough on Saturday night (25 July).

Sean Welling, 35, was arrested in Hereward Road after officers suspected the driver of an Audi A3 of driving dangerously.

He was later charged with possession of a knife in a public place, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to stop when directed to do so by police.

Welling, of Hereward Close, Eastgate, has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 27 July).
