Peterborough man arrested after police find FOUR HUNDRED laughing gas cannisters in his car
A Peterborough man has been arrested after 400 cannisters of nitrous oxide – otherwise known as laughing gas – were found in his car
Cambridgeshire Police said they were on patrol in Peterborough earlier this week when they became suspicious of the man, and searched his car.
After finding the stash of cannisters containing the gas, officers later searched a property in connection to what they found – and discovered ‘a large quantity’ of drugs.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “When officers on patrol spoke to a man in Alexandra Road on Tuesday, they became suspicious and searched his car.

“Trusting their instincts paid off, as they found more than 400 cannisters of nitrous oxide. This led to further searches of a property, where they discovered a large quantity of cannabis and a bag of suspected unprocessed cocaine.
“A 27-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested and investigations are ongoing.”
