Family pay tribute to victim as man charged with Peterborough murder

Detectives investigating a murder in Peterborough have named the victim and charged a man.

Officers were called at just before 4.45am yesterday (19 February) with reports of violence in Brudenell, Orton Goldhay.

Emergency services attended but Jason Cremin, 39, of Naseby Close, Ravensthorpe, died as a result of a stab wound to the abdomen at just before 6am.

Julian Davies, 18, of Meriton, Orton Goldhay, was arrested yesterday evening and has today been charged with Jason’s murder.

He remains in custody to appear at virtually at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday (22 February).

In a tribute, Jason’s family said: “Jason was a family man and was very well loved amongst his friends. He was also an only child and along with his parents, leaves behind his partner and five children. The family are utterly grief stricken at this time and wish to be afforded their privacy to come to terms with what has happened.”
