A man has been arrested after drugs were found in a shop in Woodston.

A large police presence was seen in Belsize Avenue earlier this month, after police were called to a property in the street.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called at 9.22pm on June 3 with reports of a group of men, one armed with a weapon, entering a shop on Belsize Avenue, Peterborough.

“Officers attended the scene but the men had left the area. A search of the shop was carried out, where up to 100 small bags of cannabis were discovered, alongside illegal cigarettes."
