Last week, the Peterborough Telegraph featured a number of dogs that were available for adoption in and around Peterborough. Just as important to so many of course are our cats.
The Peterborough and District Branch of the RSPCA do so much to rescue, nurture and subsequently rehome cats in the area. They have continued to operate throughout lockdown and within a small radius are still permitted to rehome these animals.
Below are a selection of those that have been rescued and are in need of their forever home.
To find more details on each cat and to search for more rescue animals, visit www.rspca.org.uk/findapet/rehomeapet/process.
The RSPCA are funded entirely by public donations and receive no government money and therefore rely on the generosity of the public. Anyone wishing to support their work do so via www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/donate.

13. Kitty Kitty Bang Bang (4 years)
Handsome Kitty was a long term stray who was brought to the Branch by an inspector. He is around 4 years old. Kitty Kitty Bang Bang may have been homeless for quite a while. He is a shy boy who is nervous around people and will benefit from a quiet adult only home. He will need a patient and understanding owner who can slowly earn his trust over time. Kitty is already making progress and enjoys cheek rubs from people he trusts. Photo: Midlands

14. Katie (1 year)
This pretty girl is Katie and she came to us via transfer from an RSPCA hospital where she was treated for multiple wounds to her body. After getting some much needed TLC Katie is now ready to find her forever home. Photo: Midlands

15. Lucifer (8 years)
Lovely Lucifer was a poorly stray who was taken to a local veterinary surgery a few months ago. We think he is around 8 years old. When Lucifer arrived in care, he had a badly infected jaw and a mouthful of rotten teeth. After treatment and dental surgery, he is now feeling better. Lucifer is still a little snotty which is probably cat flu-related but doesn't need any treatment at the moment. He also has a delicate tummy so needs a sensitive diet. Photo: Midlands

16. Herbert (7 years)
Herbert is an independent cat who is not enjoying life in the cattery. He is looking for a home where he can enjoy his freedom and come and goes as he pleases. Herbert is sometimes happy to approach us for treats but if we get too close he does grumble! Given time and space, he may relax around people and build a relationship with someone. However, potential adopters must be prepared to love and provide for Herbert from a distance and respected his independence if he chooses freedom over pet life. Herbert is looking for an adult-only home. Photo: Midlands
