Costa to open new coffee shop in Peterborough’s empty Pret A Manger
Costa Coffee looks set to add to its offering in Peterborough.
The chain, which already has an outlet in Queensgate, is set to move into the vacant Pret A Manger premises -looking out onto Long Causeway.
Pret A Manger opened in 2013 and announced its closure in July last year.
Costa last week submitted a building control notice with the city council’s planning department relating to the “internal fit out of the existing retail unit to Costa Coffee brand standards”.
A Costa spokesperson said: “At this time we are unable to share further information regarding a potential Costa Coffee store at Queensgate, Peterborough.”
As well as its unit in Queensgate, Costa has seven other outlets across the city.
