Peterborough Christmas drive in fireworks display planned

It is hoped a Christmas drive in fireworks display will brighten the mood - and the skies - this festive season.

The event is being planned by the same team that put together the bonfire night display at the East of England Showground.

The display is scheduled to be held on December 20 at the showground.

The organisers said: “Following the success of our Bonfire Night event and the fact that a lot of people couldn’t attend the rescheduled event we’ve decided to return to Peterborough on Sunday 20th December for a Festive Firework event to get you in the Christmas spirit.”

Spaces will be limited, with COVID safety measures the same as the bonfire night event.

Once again, funds will be raised for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.
