Peterborough night life - who remembers Rinaldo’s?

In the second part of Looking Back’s spotlight on Broadway here are three more pictures of one of Peterborough’s most famous streets.

Broadway has always been home to the city’s entertainment quarter and the top pic ture is one that will bring back many memories to Peterborians.

Rinaldo’s club was one of the famous and best loved night spots and was housed in the original central library.

It was owned (the name’s a give away!) by well known local businessman Rinaldo Fasulo.

The next picture also shows the same building from a different angle and a different era when, I assume, it was still in use as a library.

The last picture shows Sheltons store which is located next to the theatre. The photograph isn’t dated but looks like it’s from the 1970s.
