Looking Back: City centre shoppers sheltering from the rain
It was only 45 years ago in Long Causeway but I remember these Peterborough city centre shoppers sheltering from torrential rain and waiting for the bus.
The girl is looking up because she is chatting to a man obscured in the corner and note the lady with bare dirty feet. I assume she didn’t want to spoil her new shoes so popped them in her bag to keep them clean and dry – as you do!
I wonder who they were?
Jasons clothes shop has had several changes, including Holland and Barrett and now one of those ubiquitous, glitzy and luminous vape and ultra processed snack shops.
