What are Peterborough residents looking forward to most as lockdown restrictions ease

We asked our readers what they were most looking forward to doing today, and through the rest of this week, as more businesses are able to open up as lockdown restrictions are eased.

Of the 262 people who took part in our poll on Twitter, 45 per cent said they wanted a trim more than eating or drinking out, shopping, or going to the gym.

In second place was eating or drinking out, with 34 per cent, shopping was third with 13 per cent, and just eight per cent said their top priority was heading for a work out.

On our Facebook page, the results were similar.

Tim Goad said; “Hair cut...needs a good thinning and shaping”

Diane Mills added: “Getting my hair coloured and cut!! Also being able to go out more to places.”

While Julie Burgess added: “HAIR cut, can not wait, have an appointment on the 13th.”

Ananda Barham was one of the few who said a meal out was top of the list, and said: “Being able to meet a friend for an al fresco meal and coffee .”

Karl Butcher said he was looking forward to being able to take part in indoor physical training again. He said: “Getting back to training at Immortal 365 Family Martial Arts & Fitness Academy.”

A large number of businesses will open their doors for the first time this year, with outdoor seating available for pubs, cafes and restaurants, and queues expected for some shops.
