Coronavirus: The latest list of school closures in Peterborough - all UK schools to close from Friday

More schools in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire are fully or partially closing.

With the coronavirus leaving many schools with staff shortages it is becoming more difficult for headteachers to keep schools open.

Many were closed today (Wednesday) with more set to close tomorrow.

And this afternoon the Government has announced that all UK schools will shut from Friday until further notice.

This is apart from looking after the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Exams will also not go ahead this year.

Here is the latest list of school closures announced by Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council.

Peterborough

Arthur Mellows Village College (open for Years 11 and 13)

The Beeches

City of Peterborough Academy (partial closure)

Greater Peterborough UTC

Hampton College (open to Years 11 and 13 only)

Hampton Gardens - closure (Year 13 sent to Hampton College)

Jack Hunt School (partial closure - open to Years 11 and 13 only)

Marshfields Special School (partial closures)

Medeshamstede Special School (partial closure)

Parnwell Primary (closed to Years 3, 4 and 5)

Peterborough Regional College

Queen Katherine Academy (open to Years 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14)

St John Fisher School (open to Years 11 and 13 only)

Stanground Academy (from Thursday: open to Years 11 and Post 16 only)

Thomas Deacon Academy (open to Years 7, 11, 12 and 13).
