Barchester’s Bayleaf Care Home, in Huntingdon, got in the Christmas spirit by hosting a very special nativity play for its’ residents, courtesy of children from The Anchor Day Nursery and Pre-School in nearby Kings Ripton.

The children entertained the residents with a flawless performance of the traditional nativity story and then spent time with the residents once the nativity play had ended.

General Manager, Katie Wilkinson said: “Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year and our fantastic residents love to get festive so we’ve pulled out all the stops. It is so lovely to see them all getting into the Christmas spirit, it’s definitely my favourite time of year. We are so grateful to The Anchor for coming to the home.”

Sue Atkinson, resident at Sue Atkinson said: “It has been a lovely morning. It was wonderful to see the children go to so much effort to get into the Christmas spirit. I really enjoyed every moment of the nativity play.”
